As energy experts explore ways to reduce U.S. dependence on oil imports and supplement traditional fossil-fuel energy, wind is emerging as an attractive alternative energy source. In fact, according to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), the U.S. wind energy industry is on track to bring on line more than 3,000 megawatts (MW) of wind energy this year, contributing to the estimated 25 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity that will be generated by wind farms across the country in 2006.

Boston Gear – Klüber Partnership
Boston Gear is a leading global supplier of quality power transmission
products to most major industrial markets including, but not limited to
food processing, packaging machinery, material handling and most
others. Along with unparalleled delivery programs and superior customer
service, the power transmission consumer, distributor and OEM who
demand the best can count on Boston Gear.
Klüber Lubrication approached Boston Gear with a new
product development, a lubricant which could provide PAG technology,
performance and H1 food grade certification in a single product. At
that time, Klübersynth UH1 6-460 was the only product of its kind in
the market.
Based on extensive product test data, Boston Gear felt
confident that the switch to Klübersynth UH1 6-460 would be a benefit
for their customers. Klüber’s commitment to product innovation,
comprehensive service and market support was a decisive factor in their
decision to partner with Klüber. Boston Gear is now in the process of
transitioning to Klübersynth UH1 6-460; their gearboxes will be filled
with the Klüber product and the boxes will feature a machine tag noting
that the boxes should be refilled with the same product. Boston Gear
will also sell the Klübersynth UH1 6-460 in 1 quart containers as an
additional service to their customers.
As Boston Gear transitions to the Klübersynth UH1
6-460, Klüber looks forward to supporting Boston Gear with this and
other projects to come.
